6 Days to the Summit: An Overview of Your Trek
The 6-Day Umbwe Route is one of the most direct and challenging routes to the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro. It offers a more strenuous climb, with steeper sections and fewer days for acclimatization, making it ideal for experienced trekkers who are physically fit and looking for a tougher challenge.
The route takes you through lush rainforests, rugged ridges, and alpine desert, leading to the summit of Uhuru Peak at 5,895 meters (19,341 feet). While the steep ascent can be demanding, it offers dramatic views and a sense of accomplishment for those who reach the top.
Throughout your journey, you'll be supported by an expert team of guides, porters, and a chef, ensuring your safety and comfort.
You’ll stay in well-placed campsites along the route, giving you a true wilderness experience while trekking through the stunning landscapes of Kilimanjaro.

- Diverse Ecological Zones: The Umbwe Route takes trekkers through a range of landscapes, from the lush rainforest to the moorland and alpine desert. These changing environments provide a variety of ecosystems to explore as you ascend.
